ConvertLocal privacy policy

Last updated October 16, 2026

This policy covers the ConvertLocal – Private PDF Converter Chrome extension (“ConvertLocal”). In short: ConvertLocal does not collect, sell or share your personal data. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Information the extension handles

This information is used only to provide the extension's features on your device. It is never sent to the developer.

Storage

Files are processed in memory in your browser. Converted files go to your Downloads folder. Nothing else is stored. Uninstalling the extension removes its stored data.

Third parties

When you convert an image or PDF from a web link, ConvertLocal downloads that file directly from the site that hosts it. Word-to-PDF uses Chrome's own print dialog. Nothing is uploaded.

What we don't do

The use of information received from Google APIs and Chrome extension APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
