PlainMark puts your name, logo, or website on photos and videos, then saves them at full size. Every feature on the listing is free: no subscription, no credits, no trial, no ads, and no account. It works offline.

The walkthrough is how to watermark photos and videos on Android. If the photo also needs the time and place burned in, do that first with PlainStamp and watermark the result.

What you can put on a photo

  • Text in 10 fonts, from a clean sans to a handwritten signature, in any colour, size, opacity, and rotation.
  • A shadow, an outline, or a background box so the mark stays readable.
  • A logo from any PNG or picture. A plain background, such as white, can be removed in one tap.
  • Drag to move. Pinch or use the corner handle to resize and rotate, or snap to a corner.
  • Repeat the mark across the photo as a diagonal pattern that is harder to crop out.
  • A batch of photos at once. The watermark keeps the same margin from the corner on every photo, whatever the size or shape.
  • A watermark burned into video at the original resolution, with the sound included.
  • Saved watermarks you can reuse in one tap. The last watermark is remembered.
  • Undo and redo.
  • Quick inserts for ©, ®, ™, the year, today’s date, and details you type yourself (name, website, handle, email, phone).
  • A light theme and a dark theme.

You can also share photos from the gallery straight to PlainMark.

The file you get back

Copies keep the original size and shape. There is no forced crop and no surprise reduction. You can keep JPEG or PNG as they are, or choose JPEG or PNG and set the JPEG quality. Optional smaller sizes (2048 or 1080 px) are there for social posts.

By default the location is removed from saved photo copies. The date and camera details stay. You can change the location behaviour in Settings. Originals are never modified. Copies go to Pictures/PlainMark and Movies/PlainMark.

PlainMark has no internet permission and does not ask for storage permission: you choose photos in Android’s picker. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no sign-up.
